if you believe, you can
If you believe it, you can. The eyes and the words of Samuel and Juelma say this. If you engage, if you work and study - if you believe, in short - they can achieve their dreams. And it does it for their own future and that of the country where you were born.
Samuel and Juelma are the two leaders of “Bo fia bo pudi”, the incubator of NGO businesses Engim Piemonte in Bissau. A project born in 2012 (at that time called “Jubil Ungi”) from the professional school Cifap, with the aim of providing training and support for young people to find and create jobs. In recent years the Cifap, institution for the training and development present in Guinea Bissau since 30 years, offered to a selection of young people a training in micro-entrepreneurship, with the aim of pushing the creation of new small businesses. At the disposal of young entrepreneurs, funding, support in creating a business plan and support ongoing.
Samuel and Juelma say that "Bo fia bo pudi" received about 1,000 candidacies, and that among them will be selected 100 innovative ideas of young people who will be made a motivational interview. From these interviews, you will be selected 20 people, 20 business ideas that will have access to funding and begin the training process.
“It was an innovative idea; there has never been a business incubator in Guinea Bissau. This experience gave me the opportunity to combine my studies with practical experience, here in my country”, says Juelma that has experienced a period of study in Brazil.
According to Samuel, the incubator force is able to take root in young people the culture of education. “Education must begin with the children. We cannot grow children who dream of Europe, Russia and America. Why do we go on? Because we think that out there, there is our dream that lies ahead. We are not poor because we have no resources, but because we handle bad what we have”.
“Guinendadi is above all the love for your country” argue Samuel and Juelma. A love that is expressed in practice in believing that the future depends on the strength of each citizen.
